Watch News First at 4pm and 9pm on News First Now! Southern Colorado’s News Leader is preparing to launch new, half-hour newscasts at both 4pm and 9pm on our cable channel, News First Now. Meteorologist Mike Madson, who’s been forecasting Southern Colorado weather for more than two decades, will provide the weather coverage for these shows. News First welcomes Laura Rojas to the team as the 4pm and 9pm news anchor. Laura joined us from Texas, where she anchored and reported for both English- and Spanish-language newscasts in San Antonio and Amarillo. News First Now can be seen on Comcast cable channel 9 in Colorado Springs, Comcast digital cable channel 247 in Pueblo, and streaming live here at koaa.com. Back in April, the channel changed from “Weather First Now” to “News First Now.” Since that time, “News First at 6pm” on KOAA-TV has been replayed at 7pm on News First Now. The channel has also provided extended, live coverage of such events as the Colorado Springs “State of the City” address by Mayor Lionel Rivera, Fort Carson Expansion community meeting in Pueblo, and live video from the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. All the while, News First Now has continued to provide the same real-time weather information that you’ve come to expect on Comcast channels 9 and 247
