You First

Share Your Photos and Video with All of Southern Colorado!

The KOAA.com photo page has consistently been one of our top-ten most-viewed pages. Your photos have been used each morning during News First Today and often shown during News First weather coverage. Now, your participation with Southern Colorado’s News Leader can go to a whole new level.

Programmed to support your videos, as well as your photos, The new “YouFirst SuperViewer” allows you to connect directly to KOAA.com and to News First 5/30.

In addition to being able to upload photos and videos from your computer via the Web, you can now also send them directly from your cell phone via media messaging (MMS) to “youfirst@koaa.com.” Either way, they’re available to go on the website and on television almost immediately – it’s only a matter of seconds.

That means when you’re on the scene when news breaks, you can participate in the coverage! Just capture some images on our cell phone and send them to us at “youfirst@koaa.com.“

Breaking news, wild weather, local sports, funny moments – you can share your photos and video with all of Southern Colorado with the “YouFirst SuperViewer.” You can also enjoy others’ images and vote on your favorites.

It’s easy to sign up. Just follow this You Ffirst and click on the words: “click here to become a YouFirst SuperViewer.” To verify your e-mail address and/or cell phone number, you will be asked to enter an activation code that will be sent to your e-mail or cell phone, respectively. If you have submitted photos to KOAA.com in the past, you have likely already received a message with temporary account information linking all of your past submissions.

Please note that in order to send in photos and videos from your cell phone, you will need a phone with a camera and a media messaging data plan. If you have questions about how to use your cell phone’s camera and sending media messages (MMS), please contact your phone carrier and they can get you all set up! If you have questions or comments about the “YouFirst SuperViewer,” you can e-mail us at “news@koaa.com.”
